Our friendly and relaxed classes teach baby signing through a combination of well-loved nursery rhymes, action songs and sensory play. Each week has a new theme that is relevant to your baby or toddler's world. As part of the theme, every class is held around a rich sensory landscape with loads to explore and play with to stimulate all the senses. Children are free to explore the landscape from the minute they arrive, all the way through the class and during free-play time at the end. There are also additional props and sensory resources brought out throughout the class to keep things exciting!

At Happy Little Signers we teach a form of baby signing called Keyword Signing. This method uses the same signs as British Sign Language, however we only sign the keywords in a sentence. This method is most suitable for little signers and has long been used by speech and language therapists.

Classes are 1 hour long, consisting of 30-40 minutes of structured singing, signing and sensory activities, followed by playtime for the little ones and refreshments for the grown ups. You can enjoy a hot cuppa in like-minded company while your child plays with our age appropriate toys.

Our classes are 100% baby and toddler friendly. Feel free to feed your baby or duck out to change a nappy. If your baby sleeps through class, we really don't mind. Who doesn't love a sleeping baby! You'll still be able to join in and learn the signs.

Toddler classes are structured a bit differently to the baby classes to account for fidgety bums and an inability to sit still! Much louder and interactive, but still using familiar songs and activities to learn our signs.
